Ballymaloe Cookery School sits on an 100 acre organic farm near the sea in beautiful East Cork.
The produce of the farm, gardens and one acre wide glasshouses yield an abundance of fruit and vegetables throughout the year. Free range livestock include pigs, beef and dairy cows as well as many hens who keep the school in supply of fresh organic eggs.
Enjoy meandering from one garden to the next in Ballymaloe. There are several captivating gardens – some designed and highly ornate, others allowed to grow wild at certain times of the year.
On the beautiful 100 acre organic farmland you can up close and personal with the friendly pigs, meet the Angus, Kerry, Dexter and Jerseys cows and free range hens. Explore the vegetable patch and familiarise yourself with the many species of plants and vegetables that grow happily outdoors in the Irish soil and climate. Information signs and labels along the vegetable rows are there to help you identify them. Stop by Glasshouses and enjoy the scents of the plants, flowers and herbs.
